There are a few simple steps you will need to complete to become a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Donna Parker at (603) 623-9474.

• 1.Volunteer Application: Please print a copy of the online volunteer application (MS Word doc, 43.5KB). Complete the application, sign it and return the form to our office.

• 2.Background Check:

  In order to complete the application process, you will need fill out the attached form. This usually takes two to three weeks to complete. We hope you understand that the background check provides a way for us to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our wish children and families. Specifically, we are concerned with any legal history related to child abuse or fraud.  
  All information in this application and background check will remain confidential and be used only for screening purposes. Please print the NH Criminal Background Check form (MS Word doc, 21.0KB), complete it and return it to our office with a check for $7.50 made out to: State of NH- Department of Safety-Criminal Records.

  
  

• Begin Making Wishes Come True: Once your application has been successfully screened, you will be personally invited to one of our upcoming volunteer training sessions. Orientations are held 2 times each year depending on the interest and last approximately two hours. The orientation session is a review of our history and volunteer opportunities. Please watch the calendar for the next upcoming training date. (Orientation meetings are typically held at our Manchester office, however we are happy to consider a 'traveling orientation' to those whose ride may be longer than one hour. Please call for more details.) You will also be put on our volunteer list to receive mailings with details about volunteer opportunities. Be sure to let us know what you want to do. Wishgranting requires an additional training once your orientation has been completed.
